Welcome to my world of creative expression! My name is Gina DeFilippo, also known by my musical stage name "Gina Brooklyn", and I am a photographer and graphic designer serving the Greater Akron/Cleveland region of Northeast Ohio. My unique perspective is influenced by my experience as a singer-songwriter in the music industry, along with 6+ years of experience in photography, videography, and graphic design.

As a photographer, I strive to capture the beauty of every moment, whether it's a landscape, a portrait, or a special event. I approach each project with a discerning eye, seeking out the hidden meaning and significance that lies beneath the surface. I bring the same level of precision and sensitivity to my graphic design work, guided by a deep sense of purpose and intentionality. Throughout my career in music, I performed at prominent venues across the U.S., including The Rockwood Music Hall in NYC and the world’s largest music festival, Summerfest, in Milwaukee, WI. I also won the prestigious Best Emerging Artist Award at Summerfest and was named the winner of the 2020 global Djooky Music Awards. In 2020 I also released a single called "No More Hiding", which gained over 1 million streams as of April 2023. I signed a record deal with Djooky Records in August of 2021.

 

My responsibility for maintaining brand style and identity in my "Gina Brooklyn" project has allowed me to design graphics for song releases, take and model for promotional pictures, and film and produce music videos. Having learned these skills in the midst of my musical career has given me a unique perspective and approach to my work, grounded in my passion for creativity and commitment to excellence.
